With over eighteen years post graduate experience, Ugo is a consummate and well-bred professional. He started his career as a Petroleum Engineering Associate with VRMT Int’l – a Houston Based Petroleum Engineering Consultancy Company and with their Nigerian Team where he had the unique opportunity to carry varied subsurface studies on a wide range of assets in the Niger Delta and the Gulf of Guinea owned by all the major IOCs (SPDC, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Addax, Total etc.) and independents. He has wide knowledge and experience of the hydrocarbon play map and has been involved in a number of acquisition programs.
In his current position as Emerald’s Petroleum Engineering Manager he oversees the company’s Asset Development Options and works in an integrated team with multi-disciplinary functions as well as being the company’s representative in interactions with partners and regulatory authorities. Ugo is skilled in the areas of Reservoir Description & Characterization, Petrophysics, Field Development Planning & Economics. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE. He holds a B.Engr. (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Port-Harcourt.
